Just think about it?

This past week was a an intriguing one to say the least. For me it was one of those weeks that went REALLY fast. To me when the week flies by it is because something is coming up fast. For me I think it is just school assignments in general. It was only the 2nd week of classes, so for sure starting this week the workload will be kicking in, which means I have to get myself back in gear. Made a pretty sweet Bulletin Board for the month of February this weekend, I mean may not be eye candy, but hey the fact that people get a kick out of it, that is all that matters in my eyes. I was really happy to be able to talk to a really close friend of mine this week, there are always those people that sometimes you just need to hear you out, or just have them talk. People who understand you. Do you have someone that is like that? Maybe someone you don't talk to much, but know they would really listen to anything you would ever have to say, I hope you all have at least someone out there like that! I'm great full to have such a great group of friends around me, and family in my life. Even the people that I randomly see throughout the day and might freak out like a kid when I see, you all have an impact in my life one way or another. Even that person that I yell their name from about 500 feet away at 9 in the morning while walking to class, YOU too! So I would like to say this, remember the friends and family that are there for you in your life, no one said things were going to be easy, but sometimes you have to allow yourself to open to others. I think at one point in our lives we all maybe might have bee guilty of not fully expressing ourselves to others. Whether its telling someone how you feel,  what is wrong, or letting things slide like nothing is on your mind. Okay, so maybe you feel a lone, and dont trust people. It can be hard to trust people sometimes, but remember you're not ALONE. I promise you :) Believe in yourself, because other people do TOO.

JUST THINK ABOUT IT? I was in one of my classes on Thursday this past week and we are currently watching a movie on the social hierarchy of class in our society today. Whether it be high, middle, or low. You get the drifting. One part of the movie REALLY caught my eye. It was about a woman and her three kids who are teenagers I believe. They live in a trailer park in a trailer home. I'm not going into the specifics of what the home looks like etc etc because you all MIGHT can imagine. The woman did state in the video that she is a part of the lower class. Here is the part that really made me feel bad. The woman has a car, but it is broke down and needs new tires, and much more work done on the car. She couldnt afford to get it fixed, so everyday she has to walk TEN and HALF MILES to go to work at arbys. She doesn't complain about walking because it is her only CHOICE. Imagine walking to 10 miles everyday and BACK just to get to work and then back home. Thats not even including how tiresome work may be on a normal day. JUST THINK ABOUT IT.

If you're reading this right now, you may be thinking, "this guy is going to write and tell me to be thankful for what I do have in my life". I mean I COULD...but I'M NOT. My message today is to JUST THINK ABOUT IT. Have you ever known someone who could really use a helping hand? I would think and hope we all DO. The video really got me thinking, what could I do to help someone each and everyday, but thats not the point. I realized it isisnt about finding someone to help, because help will find YOU. A lot of people wont accept help, which is understandable. I am sure we all have been there once or twice or even many times in our lives. so JUST THINK ABOUT IT. The next time someone needs help carrying groceries to their car, a person needs someone to hold the door open for them, your friend needs a hug, you want someone to go on a walk with you, someone needs a quick laugh, or maybe even a random hello as you pass them. The help people need is all around us. Corny sounding to some, but to me its true. Maybe some people need their "space". Heck we all do sometimes, but my overall message today is my hope for people to realize that while others may need help sometimes, dont forget about yourself. Even if it is just talking. Take that chance to meet someone new, tell them your story. When someone needs a laugh, do something STUPID. It might just make their day, you never know. Have you done anything lately. JUST THINK ABOUT IT? Whether you have or haven't..now is your chance. No one can tell you what you should or shouldn't do. It is all up to you.

It is Saturday at about 6:38 p.m. Some people may be going out tonight with friends, or staying in doing homework/studying, watching a movie, baking food, play video games, going out on a date(owe owe). JUST THINK ABOUT IT. The next time you see that old woman at the grocery store that could use help packing her car, or that random person walking down the street that you don't know that looks like they could use a simple smile and "hello" to them. JUST THINK ABOUT IT.

I hope everyone is having or had a great weekend. Take care all.............PEACE

Here we go AGAIN

Today is Sunday Funday, which means to me sitting around on Sunday and doing nothing. That day where you know you have work to be doing BUT football is on and you know..it can wait. As I am sitting in my room before I head out to dinner in a little bit I was thinking. I just got done looking at all of my syllabus's to see what all was due when throughout the semester. I probably shouldn't have because, my eyes got a little too big...if you know what I mean. This weekend was a good one in the sense that I didn't open a single book, didn't think about school work, all I did was hangout with some friends, and relax..really can't beat that. As I am writing this post I have the Ravens vs the Patriots on the computer. I'm not watching every play, just because I won't truly be interested until the 4th quarter if its close. With the Eagles not in the playoffs this year, I don't really care much for watching the playoffs. Heck, the Steelers got beat by the "Broncos", so I can't complain if there not in the playoffs either..that's another story though.

Here we go again, it is the spring semester, and classes have started. The work load has not hit yet, and to begin the spring semester motivation may be lacking, or MAYBE its just hard to get back into the swing of everything. I would say that is the toughest. Maybe you're a senior, your ready to move on and continue your journey. Maybe your a senior that doesn't want to be done with college, is anyone ever really? I'm sure there are lots. Maybe your sophomore or junior who has been through all of this again, and just doesn't want to start all over again with work and have tough classes. Maybe your a freshman who had a rough 1st semester and are scared for what this semester holds. You might be stressed, worried, or concerned. Which ever you may be, for the most part were all in the same spot. Its a new semester, a new beginning, everyone looking for the same thing, TO DO WELL.

To sit here and say IM PUMPED, or MOTIVATED beyond belief would be a lie. The beginning is always hard at first, but sometimes we should try to realize were not alone because many if not most are experiencing the same feelings. Today I put papers up on my wall for when my 1st exams are in class, at times I like to look ahead and have a glimpse of when I need to start getting material together for exams. It made me realize, WOW my first exam is not for 3 weeks, feels like forever away yet so close. Probably because it will be here before I know it. My point is this, HERE WE GO AGAIN...

There is studying to be done, friends to see, tasks to get accomplished, decisions about our futures to be considered or decided upon. Lets sit back for a second and think what we want to happen this semester. Try not to sit there and be like, OH I WANT THIS  TO HAPPEN, but like different aspects of this semester that you would like to see happen. Maybe you want to make deans list, look into studying abroad, find an internship, make new friends, enjoy your last semester with everyone, plan something exciting you have never done before...etc. Sometimes I find it more appropriate to set broader goals so that you don't set too high of expectations and are dissapointed. I'm all for having specific and direct goals, but maybe try making a couple broad ones, and open your mind to something new. After I am done writing this, I am going to write 5 big goals I want to work on or do this semester, so I can hang it up on my wall, and remind myself of what I would like to do. Maybe you should try it? Wouldn't hurt right...I don't think so.

HERE WE GO AGAIN, new semester, new and old friends, new beginning at the same old place. What are you going to do? Going to settle for mediocrity, or exceed your expectations. Going to do something average, and see what happens? You live your own life, that's your choice. Going to do something you have never done before? Heck, you down for it. You going to focus on the present now, and not worry about where we will be 3,4,5,6,7, months from now. Lets try that, everyone might say, "I do that now, shut up"..okay I understand, I am just saying maybe we all need to take a step back and be like, whatever happens. because at ship..SHIP HAPPENS.

ok HERE WE GO AGAIN, maybe try setting some broad goals, hanging out with a friend you never have as much as you should have before possibly, wait never mind, the past is the past..the present is now. DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. Here we go again, what are you going to do this time around. Going to skate by and do what you do every semester? Maybe. Or you going to let this semester roll, and make it a semester you'll never forget. Guess we will all see in about 5 months.

Here we go AGAIN..lets get this started!!

Have a great night everyone
